#18: Mad King George and the Queen of America: (07/2018)
President Trump is like mad King George except that the King had only a small coterie of professionals to attend to him and to protect England whilst Mr. Trump has an organized and well-funded major political party, one of two in the strongest and freest nation in the histories of strong and free, to support him. His brand is worshipped on all outlets of a major popular media corporation with many small and highly effective offshoots. Last, but most troubling of all, there are 40,000,000 American voters who consider themselves patriots of the first order, ready and willing to do President Trump’s bidding at a moments notice.
Trump could be unassailable but because he is old, when his physical body whithers, his stable genius mind will enter his heir in a creepy incestual way, the sexy (by Trump standards?), entrepreneurial and liberal, too, daughter Ivanka (I spelled her name wrong and the proper spelling was immediately recommended. She could be our first Queen.
Blog #17: Mr. Putin solves President Trump’s problem: (07/2018)
Mr. Putin believes, very reasonably, that he can solve the problem of Russian collusion and tampering by having our FBI and his GRU (KGB) review each other’s work. President Trump seems to concur.
I want to see how it plays out when President Trump orders his Attorney General to send the Mueller team over to Russia to interrogate the indicted Russians while the KGB comes here to review the Mueller work papers.
Blog #16: Vote Democrat for Jesus (07/2018)
Progressives in America are flawed and lost. As proof, they couldn’t get it together and so they lost to a weak candidate, Trump, and they have been voted to near extinction at the State level across the country. But at their most basic, whether they claim it or not, Progressives stand for principles closer to Jesus than their Republican opponents, who mostly gloat about their Christian faith, more interested in worshipping the old Testament vengeful God than their New Testament Jesus on the Mount.
Blog #15: God Bless America – (07/2018)
Who is responsible for turning devout American pioneers and settlers, the hearts and souls of this great American nation, into tax and spend liberals who vote with Satan?
Blog #14: I am an old man but for the first time in my life… (06/2018)
For the first time in my life, listening to politics from the Left and the Right, I am wondering which party our military will support.
Bernie’s Blog #13: Homegrown Terrorism – MAGA (06/2018)
The American government is separating illegal immigrant children from their illegal immigrant parents and they require that the parents be fingerprinted when they pick them up. Clever unless you’re human. The government policy of inventorying the young children in stockades, sleeping on the floor, caged like animals almost guarantees that in twenty years, some of those kids will have memories of America to feed their hatred and they will become terrorists whether they are allowed to stay or if they go. Clever of the Trump government to plan a future supply of dread to propagandize in their media to scare their gun-toting and prosperity gospel fans.
Bernie’s Blog #12: The Great White Society – MAGA (06/2018)
Our hallowed Founding Fathers put in writing and agreed that for the purpose of running their government, blacks who were mostly in the South would count for 3/5th of a white person for the census. They were property. If the Southern wealth was in cows, they would have pushed for a cow counting as 3/5th of a white person. You might believe that the curse of bigotry is in our DNA, but it’s not. It is the curse of greed weaponized through crony capitalism that is in our DNA.
Berne’s Blog #11: Anything that costs more than it is worth is waste and must be eliminated. That INCLUDES people. (05/2018)
Berne’s Blog #10: Dictatorship, Try 1 (05/2018)
President Trump can give the Religious Right and the Tea Party caucus what they want…in trade for what he wants. And what he wants is to stay in power for as long as earthly possible and he knows that the Right media and Republicans of all stripes are more than willing to make deals with him because they will never get a chance once the Democrats gain control of the government. It’s a win-win for all but representative democracy.
Berne’s Blog #9: The Price of Patriotism (03/2018)
Should President Trump be taken down by the Special Prosecutor and impeached, FoxNews has some explaining to do. They clearly have a fiduciary responsibility to their stockholders so they must keep setting up their viewers for their advertisers and that means pro-Trump talk until it can’t be pro-Trump any longer.
By FoxNews doing this, it means that their fiduciary responsibility is far more important to them than their responsibility as American patriots.
Patriotism versus fiduciary responsibility is a discussion that needs to be undertaken in our hyper-capitalist country if we’re hoping that our children don’t end up living in a country ruled by a Putin-type someday.
Berne’s Blog #8: Guns (03/2018)
No corporation, no matter how incompetent, has all the consumers it needs and so corporations spend money on R&D and marketing because rarely are the stockholders happy with financial stagnation.
If I could guess what is in the hearts or minds of the gun manufacturers who depend on the NRA, it would be that someday soon, they hope that Liberals will be so scared of all the guns out there and the government’s inability to stop massacres with those guns that more and more Liberals will start to buy from them and eventually the NRA will become a lobbying group for Liberals too.
Maybe guns are a right given by God, but with capitalism in full bloom, the chase for profits makes for a willing slaughter as gun manufacturers satisfy their management and their principal stockholders by arming the country.
Let’s face it, corporate religion doesn’t preach “thou shalt not kill”, it preaches thou shall make money, as much as possible for as long as possible. When guns are a right, life is a privilege for the well-armed and not the innocent!

Berne’s Blog #6: The Charm Offensive for the November 2018 Elections (03/2018)
I sensed something about when Mr. Trump goes on television all the time with Republican and Democratic Senators and Congresspersons and how he’s he’s open and friendly and even self-deprecating when he brainstorms, just wings it.
He is broadcasting for the world to see, the most centrist possible solutions he has come up with without losing his base.
It is really Mr. Trumps “charm offensive” for the 2018 election.
He is focusing on possible Republicans and Independents that he can convince with those TV photo ops he’s creating knowing that nothing he says ever in those photo ops is ever going to pass as legislation in that stupid, idiotic, shithole of a low approval ratings Congress.
His base knows that he doesn’t mean it. They are in on his shrewd chess move against the rest of America playing checkers. He will blame Congress of course for the failure of his heartfelt and superior Presidential recommendations and he will appear sad and disappointed when these photo-op comes along.
With very little else going his way to drive a higher approval rate for the coming election, these photo-ops show him charming and reasonable to convince dissident Republicans and convincible Independents to vote to elect more people like him in the coming 2018 election and vote for that wonderful President you saw on TV.
If he’s not impeached and removed, This could happen. I could be right. It could possibly work that way. We still haven’t digested the 2016 election and what happened in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania yet.
And then Mr. Trump trumps it all by threatening a global tariff war.
And I’m baffled again.
Berne’s Blog #5: President Trump (8/2017)
A shallow sociopath with multiple personalities that he has developed over time to sell his brand to various target audiences, Mr. Trump is Dr. Jekyll one day, Mr. Hyde the next. I am horrified and oddly proud to see how the Republic handles this. It’s like living in the Weimar Republic and Adolf has a blank postcard to paint.
Berne’ Blog #4: Charlottesville VA. Neo-Nazi/White Supremacist Riot (8/2017)
I am no fan of President Trump, however, perhaps we have lost sight of one important perspective. President Trump’s response to the riot in Charlottesville was deemed inappropriate but was it?
President Trump is often pilloried for his tweets and off-the-cuff responses—free speech, clearly. His open-hearted take on vile people who chant vulgar anti-black and anti-Jewish epithets seems wrong at first glance but is it really? It is possible that President Trump is the most devout believer in and purveyor of free speech the world has ever seen in a public figure. Remember, he tells the world that he is the #1 supporter of the Israeli-Jewish State AND he has Jewish grandchildren (and orthodox Jewish as well!) and he has a black friend who comes to his rallies.
It is possible that President Trump is the most devout advocate of free speech the world has ever seen in a public figure. Remember, while condoning vile, bigoted behavior, he openly admits to being the #1 supporter of the Israeli-Jewish State AND he has Jewish grandchildren (and orthodox Jewish as well!) who will grow up remembering his Presidency.
Perhaps President Trump deserves a statue in the Nuremberg Hall of Free Speech!
Is America the only country that gives statues to members of the losing side in a war they damn-well deserved to lose?
Berne’s Blog #3: False Equivalents (8/2017)
Though Republicans hold the Presidency, the Congress, the Supreme Court, most Governorship and most State legislatures, America is too balanced politically for any other conclusion. Republicans and Democrats do the same things—the things that they perceive will win but they each target different audiences susceptible to different victory propositions and that makes each’s approach seem different.
Berne’s Blog #2: Killer Capitalists (8/2017)
There are people who would kill you as soon as look at you. You know who they are. You work with them. There aren’t many, thank goodness, but there are too many in our society. Their occurrence can be plotted as a normal distribution and their behavior is out three standard deviations from the norm, our norm. They are out there, but they are members of our society nonetheless.
They aren’t our fault, but they are our responsibility because as a free people, we allow a culture and governance that makes killers necessary. I shudder to think they are my responsibility. Fortunately, it’s easy to rationalize that responsibility away.
Some of these cold-blooded killers, if their brand is just right, their pitch just so, and their goals have value, these deviants thrive in our society because sometimes in a dog-eat-dog world, we lose track of boundaries, lose track of right and wrong, because we are taught to stretch our boundaries if we want to succeed and who doesn’t want to succeed. We have this belief system and our faith in it tells us that if we work harder than anyone else in our circle of acquaintances we will all be President or principal stockholder, or drill a three pointer that matters off the dribble and to achieve that goal, sometimes it feels like we should kill somebody and so these cold-blooded killers too often are given a pass or a statue.
The rest of our stone-cold killers have been extruded through poverty and impossibility to murder and maim. Killers are a problem we should solve because unless things somehow get better, they are only going to get worse until the normal curve gets sucked inside out and the good people like us are the ones represented out three standard deviations on a normal distribution.
We are changing our world to accommodate the people who would kill us as soon as look at us and trying to become one of them in order to succeed in it. That’s a shame because we are not helpless, we believe we are the freest people in the history of freedom but this isn’t the world we want or need.
Berne #1: Free Market Capitalism, Profits, and Your Best Interests@Heart (7/2017)
After drinking a legal, addictive, and profitable can of a readily available consumer Product (Coca Cola – but not just Coke)
First Ten Minutes – 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system (100% of your recommended daily intake.) You don’t immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor allowing you to keep it down.
20 Minutes – Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your liver responds to this by turning any sugar it can find into fat. (There is plenty of sugar at this moment!)
40 Minutes – Caffeine absorption is complete. Your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, as a response, your liver dumps more sugar into your bloodstream. The adenosine receptors in your brain are now blocked preventing drowsiness.
45 Minutes – Your body ups your dopamine production stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain. This is physically the same way heroin works. (an opioid epidemic anyone?)
60 Minutes – The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium, and zinc in your lower intestine, providing a further boost in metabolism. This is compounded by high doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners also increasing the urinary excretion of calcium.
60 Minutes – The caffeine’s diuretic properties come into play. (It makes you have to pee) It is now assured that you’ll evacuate the bonded calcium, magnesium, and zinc that was headed to your bones as well as sodium, electrolytes, and water.
60 Minutes – As the rave inside of you dies down, you’ll start to have a sugar crash. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You’ve also now, literally, pissed away all the water that was in the Coke but not before infusing it with valuable nutrients your body could have used for things like hydration or building strong bones and teeth. (By all means, give a child a Coke-like beverage!)
It’s not just Coke. Every corporation in the food supply chain have chemistry departments that plan out these concoctions to ensure repeat business and profit, profit, profit. The effects, Corporations know them. There are few surprises in business and almost none when science is involved. Companies keep the secrets and trade years of your life expectancy for improved quarter-to-quarter earnings per share.
Corporations are forever, people live only as long as their money holds out. Spend it wisely.
